It seems that most supermarket chains in Germany have a NZ sauvignon blanc priced at 3.99 euro.We've only visited one Pennys store and we couldn't resist this strikingly labelled offering. Turns out it's a lot closer to home being the first Roumanian wine we've featured. And we'd go back for more.
It's not the NZ style, which is sometimes a blessing, but it is a crisp dry unmistakeable sauvignon blanc. Very highly recommended at the price.
