There are some wine styles and grape varieties that just shouldn't be expensive and one of my greatest gripes is rose. We should not have rose retailing at $15 and yet many wholesale at that price. Why? It's a pretty simplistic, no expensive wood, no bottle maturation, "get into the market as soon as it's bottled style".So we applaud our favourite, biggest selling rose - it's back with the latest vintage and rocketing out at cellar door. It's on the sweetish side so it can handle a really big chill and with just 10.5% a/v it's perfect for a sunny Sunday picnic.

I've been trying to like this variety for some time and after forking out $20 per bottle, many times I had all but given up.
However, much to the disgust of my more masculine friends, I've enjoyed plenty of this and can give it a thumbs up.
