The Warburn 1164 Varietal Mixed Red Dozen

I've been told that Warburn are now Australia's 8th largest wine producer. They produce a huge amount of remarkably quaffable budget wine and a few delightful surprises like the Stephendale and these.
What an extraordinary range of four red wines that totally over deliver in value. This dozen contains three bottles each of 2009 Eden Valley Pinot Noir, 2007 Barossa Valley Old Vine Shiraz, 2007 Barossa Valley Merlot and 2009 NSW Montepulciano.
All four are in superb condition with years in front of them. All offer a rich opulence paired with their own individual varietal characters.
I'm hard pressed to pick a favourite - they are all so good

I'm impressed, I must say. Seldom do I come across a blog that's both equally educative and amusing, and let me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head. The issue is an issue that not enough folks are speaking intelligently about. Now i'm very happy that I found this during my hunt for something relating to this.
