WHAT I'M ALL ABOUT

G'day,

I started raving about wine a long time ago in university days. When you're 18 and out on your own you need a job and the Solomons of Randwick Liquour Supply provided that.

By the time I finished my degree I knew more about wine than I did about anything I'd studied. And so much more than my employers.

A corporate marketing and advertising career ended with the purchase of our first Sydney, Australia liquor store. A few more followed. The passion has always been wine and after 3 years tasting and wandering around Europe it was time to come home to repeat the process here.

Welcome to the blog that started off life as a listing of my favourite wines from my retail days in Sydney. Now those days are over it's morphed into a blog including my other interests. I've kept the old wine listings [SOLD OUT] for both reference and amusement.

I can't remember exactly when the OWL appeared but it symbolises the thousands of very special people who have trusted my wine rants, ravings and recommendations. You are truly Outstanding Wine Lovers.
