Brokenwood 2006 Mount Panorama Chardonnay

CONSISTENTLY A FAVOURITE
Brokenwood's Tasting Notes
"Good colour with yellow/green tints dominating. A wine with many outstanding features, but the aromas are most interesting. Wild ferment characters and grilled nuts. Tropical fruit, mango and rockmelon aromas give a strong fruit background. Rich flavours and textured palate. Up front bran-meal and tropical fruit. The wine was fermented in 80% new French oak and 20% one year old, from a variety of cooperages. Good glycerol weight gives richness. Being a cool region the high natural acid gives a frame for the generously flavoured palate. An impressive Single Vineyard Chardonnay made with a definitive hands-off approach to winemaking. Will improve but mainly over the medium term."
